The Council of Architecture and Urbanism (CAU) is the federal autonomous regulatory body responsible for "guiding, disciplining, and overseeing the practice of architecture and urbanism."

It is also the obligation of the Council to "ensure the faithful observance of the principles of ethics and discipline of the profession throughout the national territory, as well as to advocate for the improvement of the practice of architecture and urbanism" (§ 1 of art. 24 of Law No. 12,378/2010).

The Brazilian Council of Architecture and Urbanism (CAU/BR) needed to improve usability and increase transaction speed of its Financial/Annual Fees module in its Information and Communication System (SICCAU), for the negotiation of the 2024 fee, in order to optimize the experience of its users, architects, and urbanists associated with the council.

The Brazilian Council of Architecture and Urbanism (CAU/BR) relied on a legacy system that caused slow transactions between its associates and the council, resulting in an unsatisfactory experience and incomplete negotiations, which reach thousands per day, during the period from January to March each year.

HOW WE HELPED ↩

The SQUADRA solution was the implementation of a much simpler, faster, and more practical system, which uses a microservices architecture and caching, contributing to multi-concurrency and better usability.

The project of the new financial module was deployed in November and fee payments began in January, "just in time"!
