Client

VLI is a company that offers multimodal logistics solutions, using highly equipped equipment to connect ports, railways, and terminals to other modes of transportation to serve the main regions of Brazil, which produce industrial goods, steel, minerals, and agribusiness products. It transports 60.6 million tons over 8,000 km of railways using more than 800 locomotives and 24,000 wagons. It operates in over 250 municipalities and employs around 7,000 people.

CHALLENGE

To change the railway operating system to improve efficiency and control, observing process optimization, prototyping of more user-friendly screen interactions, and short delivery cycles. Transforming legacy with a new design architecture and training with agile management practices, to achieve a robust system that turns correct data into a good user experience.

HOW WE HELPED

We implemented the agile software development process, SICOF (Railway Operations Control System), with quick deliveries to the client, aiming to be a leaner, easier-to-use, and technologically more modern solution. And redesigned integration, eliminating unnecessary information, ensuring greater availability and accuracy.

RESULT

After 6 months of implementing the pilot project, we launched the platform to manage VLI's entire train logistics operation, contributing to facilitating operators' daily work and ensuring data integrity.

Testimonials

“ The joy of celebrating another important delivery for the company! SQUADRA Digital is our partner in developing SICOF (Railway Operations System of VLI), which will gradually replace Unilog in carrying out loading activities, yard events, formation, circulation, train interchange, and operational indicator management. We have completed the delivery of the first MVP of SICOF with modules for train formation with empty and loaded wagons. At this stage, the system has already contributed to increasing the productivity of the operational teams working in our yards by simplifying the train operation process and improving usability. Congratulations to the yard operations, operational control, and technology teams for this achievement. Let's move forward, aiming to generate even more value for VLI. “
